DIY Tools: Craft Knives, Dado Blades, Spiral Cutting Tools
Knives and blades are useful tools in doing a lot of tasks and applications. They come in different sizes, shapes, materials and varieties that correspond to their particular purpose.
One example of this is a dado blade. A dado blade is a set of circular blades used for cutting a wide area, usually for making cabinets and slots for shelves. In using the Dado Blade, the thing to remember is to make exact measurements and use the tool properly. To set up the dado blade, stack all the blades to a table saw and gear it up. After that, make a throat plate made of wood for the blade and attach four magnets to it. To cut a certain material, just place it over the blades and press until the desired cut is achieved.
Aside from the dado blade, there are also craft knives. These are set of knives with different sizes and interchangeable blades. Craft knives are used to cut different materials, such as paper, clothing, card board, certain types of wood, leather, and some sheets of metal. The blade of a craft knife also has a comparable sharpness that it can even be used as a chisel.
here is also the spiral-cutting tool. It is used to cut hardwood, drywall, softwood, tile, and more. To use the spiral-cutting tool on a drywall, always make sure that there are no pipes or live wires behind the surface being cut. To use the tool, just enter it directly into the material at a 90-degree angle and follow the desired cut
