Carpentry Tool
Carpentry pertains to the construction of furniture, buildings, and other things that are made from wood. Carpentry is a skill which is usually acquired through experience, but study or training is required in expanding one’s knowledge of carpentry.
Carpenter refers to a person who does carpentry. The term “carpenter” is the English rendering of the word “carpentier”, an old French word which comes from the Latin word “carpentries.” There are different kinds of carpenters. One is a finish carpenter, who does carpentry in which minimal margins and exact joints of error are significant. Second is a trim carpenter, who specialises in trim and moulding. The third is a cabinet maker, who performs detailed and fine work and specialises in creating cabinets and some furniture intended for storage. The fourth is a ship’s carpenter, who specialises in shipbuilding, while the fifth type is a scenic carpenter in theatre, television, and film-making who dismantles and builds temporary sets and scenery for these entertainments. Another kind of carpenter who repairs and creates stringed instruments is called a luthier. The last kind of carpenter who specialises in the construction of roofs is referred to as a roofer.
Carpenters use several tools, one of which is the 30’ Stanley Powerlock tape measure. It is a measuring tool made from metal strip with linear-measurement signs that have metric and imposing units. It is made with durable, rounded, and metallic ribbon that is strong and direct when stretched, but retracts around a coil for comfortable use. This measuring tool is capable of determining huge distances and exact curves.
